The Time is Now | Green, Ohio | Film Photographer

I talk with a lot of people...around town running errands, at church, in school, all sorts of places, and inevitably when they find out that I'm a photographer, something like this pops out of their mouth: "We really need to have photos done, but I'm waiting until ______________ (insert a myriad of reasons here)."  The excuse is usually something like...I need to lose ten pounds, we need to find the perfect location, and on, and on, and on.  But let me just share something.  Life isn't perfect.  There's never a perfect time.  While you're planning, time's moving forward.  While you're waiting, time's marching on.  The kids are growing, changing, and they will never look, act, be exactly the way they are now ever again.  I took these photos of Simon just recently, and already, he's different.  You are different today than you were the day before, and different than you will be tomorrow.  Recently I've had a number of clients, friends, and family that have had life change drastically in an instant, some for good, and some for less than ideal.  Grasp the here and now...it's all you can be certain of.  I've never had a client say they were sorry they didn't wait.  It seems that when I think of taking photographs, then only ones I regret are the ones I haven't taken.  So embrace imperfection, and start documenting memories now.  Trust me.  You'll be so glad that you did.
