The Caldwell-Ellis Wedding, Part 1

This wedding was one of the most fun, laid-back events I've ever photographed.  Sometimes the bride and groom can really get stressed out with the pressure of a wedding, but Shawna and Roger were totally chill about the whole thing which was awesome because you could tell they actually, truly enjoyed their day.  I'm saving the rest of the photos (including some killer reception dance moves and a rockin' photobooth) for later.  If you just can't wait until then, you can check out all the wedding photos and order prints online.

The Epitome of So Many Things - Aubrey's Senior Session

I've been itching to share this session with you, and then when I finally could, I had trouble...I simply couldn't narrow down the images.  Aubrey chose to have her session on a day that was predicting storms and winds and we weren't even sure we were going to get to shoot that afternoon.  But the skies cleared, the sun came out, and seriously it was the quintessential fall day.  Cerulean blue skies with cottony white clouds, an amazing setting at Brandywine Falls (even the leaves cooperated and rained down like snow), and then of course, there was Aubrey.  Totally at ease in front of the lens, this girl has an air of confidence and grace that you don't see very often.  She truly was a pleasure to work with.  You can check out her entire session and order prints online

Remembering | Stow, Ohio | Film Photographer

I'm so thankful to live in a country that affords me many opportunities that, living elsewhere, I would never enjoy.  As I get older, I appreciate more the sacrifice made by others to secure the freedoms that, when I was younger, I didn't realize came at such a high cost.  Whoever said it first said it best...freedom certainly is not free.  And on this Veterans Day, I'm stopping to remember and be thankful for the high cost paid by others on my behalf.  To the Veterans out there, including both of my grandfathers...thank you.

Product Spotlight: Custom Press Printed Holiday Cards | Northeast Ohio | Portrait Photographer

Do any of you have a friend that loves the holidays?  You know the type...turns the AC down to 58 degrees and cranks up the Christmas tunes in mid July?  Yeah, me, too.  I'm married to him.  And ever since we moved to Ohio about two years ago, where they actually get snow, there's been more excitement in our house around the holidays than ever before.  And depending on which specific holiday you celebrate, the holidays are approximately 65 days away.  Now I know some of you are thinking, "That's more than two months from now, I've got time.  It's all under control," and my procrastinatory tendencies would totally agree with you...except it seems that every year it sneaks up on me earlier and earlier, and then before I realize it, Christmas is a week away.  I was in Target during the first week of September thinking that they might have the Halloween paraphernalia out when I spied one row in the back corner of the store filled with, I kid you not...Christmas lights.  I wanted to run out of the store screaming.

But there is something to be said for pre-planning.  Good things come to those who are prepared...good things like absolutely luxurious holiday cards!  And M.E. & You Photography is here to help you check that item off your holiday list now with our Custom Press Printed Holiday Cards, while there's still time to create the perfect card that will make the Joneses totally drool with envy.  And really, isn't that what most people are looking for in a holiday card?  I kid.

But really, holiday cards are one of the major opportunities families take advantage of each year to connect with important people in their lives that they may not otherwise get to hear from on a regular basis.  And of course Grandma Betty and Aunt Jane want to see a current family photo (my how the kids have grown!).  So here's the scoop on M.E. & You Photography's Press Printed Holiday Cards:

  • - Choose from over 50 gorgeous templates, with options ranging from classic to modern, traditional to funky.  Don't see a template that's just right for you?  Custom design work is available!

  • - Choose the perfect paper stock to further enhance your design -- watercolor, linen, or (my personal favorite) pearl.

  • - All Custom Press Printed Holiday Cards come with complimentary envelopes available in your choice of white or parchment.
  • - Due to the fact that our Custom Press Printed Holiday Cards are well...custom...have a longer turnaround time than traditional photo prints, orders must be placed by Monday, November 28 to ensure timely delivery and avoid rush charges.

Don't celebrate Christmas?  I've got options for Custom Press Printed Cards for holidays other than Christmas!  Don't have time for a session before the ordering deadline?  Send a New Year card!  Trust me, everyone will appreciate the card just as much in January, and will surely be impressed by your creativity and trendsetting spirit.
